Our Plan For Your Appointment
Our passion for breastfeeding is at the foundation of everything we do.
Preparing For Your Visit:
You will receive an electronic intake form to complete before your visit so that we can utilize the appointment to mainly focus on breastfeeding. Please do your best to complete the intake form as thoroughly as possible.
If possible, try to arrange for your baby to be ready to feed within about thirty minutes of the start of your appointment. (Of course, this is a difficult request and may not work out perfectly, but it will be more productive if the baby is not full.)
If you would like help with your breast pump, please bring all of its parts, including any flanges you have.
What To Expect During Your Visit:
Review your medical, birth and breastfeeding history
Discuss your breastfeeding goals
Observe the baby breastfeeding and offer guidance to ensure success
Weigh your baby before and after the feeding with a medical-grade neonatal scale
Identify individualized strategies to make you and your baby more comfortable
Answer all questions you and your partner have
Create a plan that you can implement at home to accomplish your goals
Send a report to your pediatrician if desired
Refer to other healthcare providers if needed

Payment Information:
Payment is required to schedule your appointment.
Davis Lactation Support, LLC is currently not able to accept health insurance for payment. We will provide you with a bill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Reimbursement is not implied or guaranteed.
Coverage among insurance companies varies, but it is mandated through the Affordable Care Act. You can also use Flexible Spending and Medical Savings accounts to pay for your visit.
Cancellation Policy:
A full refund will be issued when a cancellation occurs more than twenty-four hours before your scheduled appointment.
If a cancellation occurs less than twenty-four hours before your scheduled appointment, a late cancellation fee of $100.00 will be collected. You will receive a refund of the remainder of your payment.
If an appointment is booked less than twenty-four hours in advance, there is no cancellation period.
Failure To Arrive:
Clients who do not arrive for their scheduled appointment will have forfeited their consultation. A refund will not apply.
Reschedule Request:
We accept one reschedule request per appointment. A reschedule request must be made more than twenty-four hours in advance to avoid a late cancellation fee.
Health and Safety:
To ensure the well-being of all of our clients, we request that no illness has been in your home for two weeks prior to your in-person consultation. We also ask that everyone two years and older wear a well-fitted mask throughout the visit.
